Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ohio Getaways website (ohiogetaways.com) and any short-term rental stays booked through our properties, including listings on Airbnb or other platforms. By using our site or booking a stay, you agree to these Terms.

Note: Reservations made through Airbnb are also subject to Airbnb's own Terms of Service and Guest Refund Policy. In the event of any conflict, Airbnb's platform policies govern the booking transaction itself.

1. Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site
Use the site to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
Reproduce or redistribute site content without written permission

2. Waitlist & Pre-Launch Communications

By joining our waitlist, you consent to receive email communications from Ohio Getaways regarding property launch dates, early booking access, and general updates. You may unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee availability, a specific rate, or a confirmed reservation.

3. Reservations & Bookings

All reservations are made through Airbnb or another approved booking platform. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmed reservation from the platform. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, subject to applicable fair housing laws.

By booking a stay, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years of age
All information provided is accurate and complete
You accept full responsibility for all guests in your party during the stay

4. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in time: 4:00 PM (Eastern Time)
Check-out time: 11:00 AM (Eastern Time)
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and approval by the host
Unauthorized late check-out may result in additional charges as permitted by the booking platform

5. Occupancy

Each property listing specifies a maximum occupancy. The number of guests may not exceed the listed maximum at any time during the stay. Violation of occupancy limits is grounds for immediate termination of the reservation without refund.

6. House Rules

All guests agree to comply with the house rules posted at the property and in the booking listing. General rules applicable to all Ohio Getaways properties include:

No smoking or vaping indoors, designated outdoor areas only
No parties, events, or gatherings exceeding the stated occupancy limit
Pets are only permitted if explicitly noted as allowed on the listing
No firearms or illegal substances on the premises
Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Guests are responsible for leaving the property in a reasonably clean condition
Trash must be placed in designated bins before checkout

Violation of house rules may result in reservation cancellation without refund and/or additional fees charged through the booking platform.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations are handled according to the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking on Airbnb or the applicable platform. Ohio Getaways does not issue refunds outside of the platform's stated policy. In the event of a property emergency (e.g., a safety issue or significant maintenance problem), we will work with the platform to provide an appropriate resolution.

8. Damage & Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, its contents, or surrounding areas caused by themselves or their guests during the stay. Damage beyond normal wear and tear may be reported to the booking platform and charged to the guest per that platform's resolution process.

Ohio Getaways is not liable for:

Personal injury occurring on the property due to guest negligence
Loss or theft of personal belongings during a stay
Acts of nature, utility outages, or circumstances beyond our control
Interruptions to Wi-Fi, utilities, or amenities caused by third-party service providers

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and the Ohio Getaways brand, is owned by or licensed to Ohio Getaways and protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or a stay at our properties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Belmont County, Ohio.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
